COMMITMENT TO THE ENVIRONMENT
Care for the environment has always been essential for Cerester, always firm in our commitment to give back to the earth more than we receives, respecting our environment to guarantee future generations the same benefits that we have been able to enjoy up to now.
In fact, Cerester carries out a program that unites all corporate social responsibility projects and bases its commitment on four main aspects: the environment (also considering and not only the organic wine proposals), sustainable packaging, responsible drinking, and commitment to others.
CERESTER IS SYNONYM with SUSTAINABILITY
The company is committed not only in words but also in the facts, in 2020 it obtained for the first time the V.I.V.A. certification from the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security which has been promoting the sustainability of the Italian wine sector since 2011. VIVA represents the public standard for measuring and improving the sustainability performance of viticulture in Italy.
At the end of 2024, Cerester obtained the Equalitas certification. The project and the related Standard concern the three “pillars” of sustainability: environmental, economic and ethical/social. The commitment is renewed annually for the maintenance and improvement of these principles.
Eco-sustainable solutions
In full respect of environmental conservation, each phase of the winemaking process is carefully controlled by experts, ensuring that each Cerester bottle is like a small work of art, a symbol of Italianness in the world but also a reflection of that sustainable commitment to which the company is rooted.
In this regard, we invest in innovation and research aimed at the use of eco-sustainable solutions, studying alternative packaging: light glass bottles, PET bottles, pouches and frugal bottles, as well as bag in boxes.
